The state of kings & queens, Rajasthan and the pink city of India Jaipur can enhance the palace wedding experience.  Now the question arises how much it will cost for a destination wedding in Udaipur & Jaipur? And how to manage a destination wedding under your budget.

Udaipur and Jaipur both have those royal wedding venues where a fairytale princess wedding dream can come true.

The first step should be to contact a best destination wedding planner as it does add on the cost but makes things a lot simple for you as they know the reliable vendors and they are the only one who can save you from the hassle of running around and bargaining.

Running around and bargaining doesn’t make sense as well and the vendors may not be so reliable or you cannot guarantee their work.

But wedding planners have a good sense of reliable and good vendors. So they can provide you guaranteed work.

Days and events

Let’s assume it to be the 2 days and 3 nights wedding ceremony. So rooms will be ideally booked for 2 day & 3 nights.

Now the schedule of guests for 2 days and 3 nights.

Day 1: –  Arrival of guests by check-in-time, and then lunch will be hosted by you followed up by an event which can be Mehendi in the day or evening which can further be followed by sangeet dinner.

Day 2: – Guests will have breakfast followed by a wedding in the day or at evening and reception at night.

3rd Day : – Guests will freshen up and leave post breakfast.

Guests

The guest list is a very hard task. The confusion always remains who to call and who do not. But for a destination wedding let’s not collect a huge crowd and make confusion and chaos.

So let’s assume 150-200 people as your guests, who are flying down at their own cost.

Transport cost:  None as guests fly on their own.

The Wedding venue for the function 

Both Udaipur and Jaipur have a royal charm to them. So for planning a wedding, you have two options: –

1. A palatial location gives the perfect backdrop for a wedding. But the irony is most of the places don’t have accommodations and rooms.  They will only allow you to host the event. So you can make your guests stay near the venue and they can join when the festivities start.

2. Apart from this option, you have palatial hotels or resort instead, which will of course offer rooms as well in addition to having the Royal feel.

Basically, 2 nights stay destination wedding venue in palatial hotels and resorts or palace venues (plus separate accommodation)  for about 150 guests could cost anywhere between Rs 10 lakh to 40 lakh.

Udaipur and Jaipur are hot destination wedding cities in the country. So the bookings should be done in all advance.

Accommodation & food 

The wedding venue and accommodation cost around 60% of the cost. We have assumed accommodation for guests being at a nice luxury venue.

Since your guests are flying all the down to your wedding, you want to make sure they have a comfortable stay and a good experience.

TIP: – Prefer double occupancy & club families with kids together by paying more for extra beds. So for about 200 – 220 people, that would roughly come up to 100 rooms.

Also, bear in mind you also have the option of accommodating guests at hotels near the wedding venue instead of the venue itself.

For a comparison between hotels and resorts, these turn out to be more economical at about Rs 3000-7000 per head for the functions, which would come up to about Rs 4 to 10 lakh for a gathering of 150 people with food included.

For a budget wedding, you can pick 4 or 5-star luxury hotels where the stay comes to about Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000 per night per room.

Also, most hotels and Wedding Venues in Udaipur do not charge separate rentals for the resort or venue. However, some prime wedding venues cost Rs 50000- Rs 300000 for wedding lawns and courtyards.

Decor

If you plan on wedding decor, which is very possible with beautiful surroundings, will have Rs 10 to 12 lakh budget for the decor- which includes floral arrangements, mandap, lighting etc is a good amount.

Miscellaneous cost

1. Wedding planner or coordinator.
2. Transportation from hotel to venue and back.
3. Entertainment for guests like local folk artists.
4. DJ & Sound equipment rental.
5. Band, Bajaa & Baraat.
6. Mehendi artists
7. Favors for the guests
8. Pandit
