When we talk about arrange marriages in India, not many agree with the belief of finding “The One” with the help of some matchmakers but, what if they are the ones who guide you to the love of your life, your true soulmate? The same thing happened with the bride Karanvir when she first met her soulmate. Their adorable Love Story
So, as we promised, here is a glimpse to their beautiful love story. Like every other parent, our bride’s mom and dad were concerned about her wedding and decided to contact a few matchmakers to find their daughter a perfect match. Well, the matchmaker did exactly what they were sent to do. Yes, they guided our bride to her other half. The bride residing in Chandigarh, while, the groom was waiting for his soulmate in Kolkata. Being a father, it was hard for Karanvir’s dad to let his daughter sent away to Kolkata, but destiny had its own plans. Even though the distance was about 1760 km, love dragged Karni to her soulmate.
A formal meeting let to another and a few more. The families met each and even in Kolkata, the Bride’s family didn’t miss the north Indian touch. So, a coffee date fixed by the matchmakers was the ultimate dealbreaker. Guramrit the groom, projecting all the goodness and adaptability, and was kind inside out. So, the bride made her mind once assured that nobody would try to change her and let her be who she is. Love paved its way with phone calls and meetings for shopping and pre-wedding. The bride calls her story, “the arranged marriage for love”.
How lockdown Ruined their Big Fat Indian Wedding Plans
Like any other Indian girl, Karanvir had dreams about her big fat Indian wedding. Every planning was done months before the wedding and it was a dream wedding for the Bride. The wedding was planned to be hosted at some luxury hotel with the best catering service to make sure her Big Fat Indian wedding was perfect. So, the couple was all set to say their vows on 29th March’2020 and the news of sudden lockdown shattered their plans to pieces. The bride was devastated with the news of postponing her wedding and her idea of that luxurious Indian wedding with 1500 guests was altered to an Intimate Wedding at Home with a total of 50 guests. Well, the virus did ruin many things but, the duo stayed strong and planned a beautiful in-house wedding.
How They tackled with the Sudden Lockdown Like a Boss
The Bride, Karanvir was at first devastated with the idea of having an Intimate Wedding at Home with a guest list of just 50 members. But, guess what? Our bride took the challenge and completed it with style. A home wedding is what the new dream wedding looked like. Our bride was super sure about the makeup artist @rupamkaur_makeupartist
she wants on her wedding from 5 years to get that natural makeup look on her wedding. Well, Karanvir was all set with many emails from all the designers and then, finally gets her dream attire from @rimpleandharpreet. Her bridal outfit was customised and she was lucky enough time to make sure her bridal outfit looks no less than her dream lehenga. Their Stunning Pre-Wedding Shoot
The couple had a stunning pre-wedding shoot at the Picture Perfect Location. The Pre-wedding shoot thankfully happened before COVID-19 and our lovely couple made their pre-wedding shoot happen. Our beautiful bride Karanvir is an avid reader and so, shot with her reading a book was a must to capture. The groom, on the other hand, is the epitome of kindness and we can surely, see that in his eyes. Check out the images of their amazing pre-wedding shoot below.

Engagement
The couple hosted the engagement ceremony at home with all the relatives to do the Bhangra. Well, the engagement ceremony took place before the coronavirus situation and we are loving how the family got together to celebrate the meeting of two loving souls. The bride did her own makeup and she did a fantastic job for sure. Check out the images below.
Mehndi
The bride looks splendid in her pastel green lehenga choli. The backdrop and home décor couldn’t be any better and we are loving it. Sangeet is all about dancing and having fun. Well, Karni and Guramrit’s sangeet ceremony took place at home. We are loving our stunning bride in her mother’s beautiful lehenga flaunting her choodha and you would too. Check out her gorgeous picture below.
Wedding
The duo looks stunning on their Intimate Wedding at Home. The bride looks surreal in her ivory and pink lehenga with traditional Polki and Kundan jewellery. Well, the groom is looking no less, in his ivory sherwani and pink Pagdi. We are loving the two in their perfectly matched outfits. Hence, the soulmates tied the knot on 24th May’2020.
