When we talk about love stories, we always imagine two souls meeting by destiny, falling and living in love ever after. Well, that’s a magical love story everyone wishes to have. Our bride Shaweta and her Buttarhalf Rupinder are truly blessed to have their love story leading to a regal Sikh wedding. Well, if you want to know why we keep calling it buttarhalf and not better half then, make sure to read their fairytale love story with lots of magic below.
How Shaweta Found Her Buttarhalf
Well, whoever doesn’t believe in destiny and soulmates needs to hear out the love story of our beautiful couple. Living on completely opposite coasts of the USA, Shaweta in Los Angeles and Rupinder in New York, the couple was destined to meet one day. Shaweta being an independent and opinionated woman, working in a contemporary country away from India was a little skeptical about the arranged meeting. Well, as our bride is super close to her father, she agreed to meet her soulmate.
A leap of faith is all you need in life and so, our bride took one and got in touch with her destiny. So, one day Rupinder flew down to LA to meet Shaweta after talking to her for couple of weeks. In a romantic Italian restaurant with the ‘Amore’ vibes, our bride and groom were lost in talks. Therefore, taking eyes off each other was hardly possible for them. This was their fairytale-like first meeting and thence, #ShawetaFoundHerButtarhalf.
The Epic Proposal Tale of Our Lovebirds
As a result of few more fairytale-like meetings, our couple said yes to their families and well, as for Indian parents seeing their children getting married is such an important milestone that they couldn’t wait any longer and things moved at the speed of light (“chat mangani, patt vya”), the families decided to get them married a few weeks later only. Though the bride left for her home country India for the enormous wedding preparations, the groom was still working in NYC. Well, when families are involved, you hardly expect a proposal but our groom made sure to fulfill his bride’s dream of a “high on glam-dreamy” NYC proposal.
So, guess what? Using his wisdom, our groom made Shaweta fly to NYC amidst the wedding preparations. Rupinder then, arranged a full-on dreamy proposal on the Brooklyn Bridge, going down on one knee with candles and rose petals. It was super ROMANTIC and so, with a Gleaming smile, our bride SAID YESSSS. “I am sure that I could spend the entirety of my mortal life journey on this planet with such an amazing partner!!” said the bride.
